A World Of Difference

"It makes me feel weak," the young man said. "I don't like that feeling."

"Are you sure it is weakness that you are in touch with," I responded, "or just vulnerability."

He thought for a moment and decided I was right.

Oh Rose - no truer words have been written. My husband was a truck driver and watching him in his truck was awesome. He loved what he did 100% of every day. That was one of the many reasons I loved him. Watching him load and unload construction equipment was beautiful. Silly I know. But I know exactly that feeling.

Yeah - who would ever think things like that would affect us the way they do. I loved to watch my husband work. He was a carpenter by trade - also loved to garden and chop his own firewood. He often said he felt closer to God on a tractor than he did any place else. It showed, too. It was almost like he and the tractor were one.
