Destiny

A defeated woman
renewed from her mountaintop experience
throws off her blanket of daisies.
She walks into the rainbow
with her eyes wide open
wearing her heart on her sleeve.
She doesn't know what she will find
on this path
that is her destiny
but she feels ready
to embrace it
with all that she is -
no longer hiding out
in the swamp of forgetfulness.
