This Too Shall Pass

"This too shall pass"
promises a calm after the storm -
promises a rainbow after the devastation -
promises sunshine after the tears.

Taken together these promises
hold out the hope of a new life
in the future - one that is built,
I presume, on the new insights
we have acquired
from weathering the storm
that is presently tearing us apart.

That new perspective on life
seems far away some days -
today is one of those days.

Geez.....I wrote a long ADD driven comment, and my computer went all kerflooey.

Suffice to say that I also had one of those days....a bowl of melancholy soup witha few sprinkles of spiced giggles.

NEVER.....forget the giggles.
Take care, my dear......

Ahhh, yes, the giggles. Thanks for the reminder. It is early morning - my time at the computer - and my mind is not awake enough yet to set the tone for today. I am reliving some precious giggles from my past - starting my day off right. You have a good one!

and giggles are good. they can get you thru the day! lol! and the best part is, as long as you are happy who cares how much how long or why you're giggling! tee-hee!

Thank you, Cry-alone. I giggled a lot when my second husband was in my life. I played a lot then. I had always been such a deep thinker - a serious sort - and carried a lot of unresolved pain. My husband preferred and "needed" to stay in touch with the lighter side of life. He taught me a whole new way of Being and I loved it. Wollf reminded me how good it feels to laugh again - and for that I will be eternally grateful. It sure makes life more pleasant for the people in my world, too.
